But of course you need to tap into this network and create a large enough following to make it worth your time and effort. Here is a few ideas and tips to help you create a large enough following to create your own network of Tweeters.
First You Need to Create Your Account.
It is very simple, just a minute or two is all that’s needed. When you open your account, you will need a user ID. Make it clever and relevant to the business your in. Short and simple is always a good way to start.
Twitter has plenty of help for you too, they have tools and programs for any size business. Use them, do some research, learn the in and outs of Twitter, and create a program that works best for what you’re trying to do. It is always good to ask for help when needed and that is on of the reasons these Social Media Networks have grown so fast, they supply great service to help anyone get started.
Now You Need to Build a Following.
This is a group that will receive every message sent by you, (called a Tweet), and help you build a network of followers with interest in what your doing, saying, or supplying. The easiest way to find a group is the # key. There is a search box on the home page of your Twitter account, any group you would like to look up, just #, then the name, for instance. You want to look up flower designers, just hit the # key, then type in flower designers, this will bring up a list in this category of people, or companies that have Tweeted. The easiest way to get followers, is to follow those in the groups you’re interest in. Look for people in the group that follow a lot of others, then click to follow them. In general, you will find that most people will return the favor and follow you. Look through multiple groups, and repeat this as much as possible.
Once you have a group of followers, go through their lists of followers, remembering that all these people have the same interests. Now you’re going to follow the people your followers follower, and in no time, you will have your own network. In fact, if you look on the lists provided by Twitter, you will see several companies with 100,000 followers and more. Just think of the potential of a free network that large and all with the interests your looking for.
Keep Your Followers Interested.
